In the previous lecture, we defined what we mean by semantics and discussed its close relationship with linguistics.
We also described some of the differences in how machines and humans process knowledge and
reviewed the knowledge pyramid, with an emphasis on how it relates to semantic analysis.
Finally, we discussed why semantic analysis is just as relevant- if not more so- to the realm of knowledge management as it is to linguistics or computer science.
In this session, we are going to look closely at how human beings process knowledge and how semantic technology can aid us with this task at different stages of the Knowledge Life Cycle.
